CUSERT offers a two-day Standard First Aid (SFA) course as well as a Blended Learning course, which allows for participants to complete some learning independently online prior to one day of in person training. Both of these options allow for skills practice and knowledge training for use in the workplace/school and at home. SFA includes CPR training and covers topics such as breathing and circulation emergencies, wound care, bone and joint injuries, and much more. This widely recognized course meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. For more information about the course, click here. Certifications are issued by the Canadian Red Cross.
The cost of the course is currently $95.00. Course fees can be paid online. Additional payment details are available when completing the registration form.
CUSERT may also be able to offer private courses for Carleton-based organizations and clubs. Please contact us for more information.
Our classes are only open to Carleton students, faculty, and staff members with a Carleton ID number. Staff members who are Designated First Aiders with Environmental Health Safety (EHS) should take CUSERT classes arranged through EHS and may not register for our open classes.
