Why move to CU WorkSafe?

Efficient reporting and data analysis

The goal of this project is to deliver a fully integrated system to support the university’s activities in teaching, research and operational excellence through the efficient collection, organization, analysis and reporting of environmental health and safety activities including regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and operational maintenance.

“Supporting the university’s activities in teaching, research, and operational excellence…”

The online portal will allow members of the Carleton community to report incidents, injuries, and good catch reports efficiently and conveniently. Reported events are stored in a comprehensive database allowing dynamic intervention and insightful reporting. Utilizing CU WorkSafe’s powerful analytical tools, Environmental Health & Safety can quickly adapt to our ever-changing environment and remain at the forefront of regulatory compliance management and best practice implementation.

Improved Communication

CU WorkSafe incorporates a built-in notification system to advise supervisors, managers, union leaders, etc.. that an injury, incident or hazard requires their attention. This dynamic two-way communication promotes information exchange, prompt action and remediation.

CU WorkSafe facilitates Carleton’s existing practices and helps to promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging communication between all stakeholders. With reporting at your fingertips, it will be easier than ever to get involved with safety on campus!

Integration with the current university systems (e.g. ParkAdmin, Maximo) enables consistent reporting, easy transition, and timely response. Better communication means hazards are identified and addressed more quickly, students and staff can share their thoughts more easily, and university needs can be met more efficiently.
