New first year Bachelor of Engineering students will be assigned a “block schedule” for registration. A block schedule is a preselected group of courses, designed to help you register in all of your required courses. Each block schedule is assigned to 10-20 students in your engineering program. Your block schedule will include all of your required courses, but will not include any electives you may need.
Block schedules are mandatory in Engineering – it is important that you do not deviate from your pre-selected courses and sections.

- Login to Carleton Central and click Build Your Timetable/Registration.
- Select the Fall term from the dropdown menu and click View Worksheet. Your mandatory, preselected courses will appear on your worksheet.

Any errors will appear when the page refreshes. Classes that are successfully registered will appear as “Registered on…” in the status column.
- Ensure that you are registered in ALL your Fall term classes as shown on your program progression tree (202430).
- At the bottom of the page, click Change Term and repeat steps 1-5 for the Winter term.
Note: Some of your Winter term classes have prerequisites that you are taking in the Fall term. If you are getting registration warnings/errors stating you do not meet the prerequisites, check your Fall term registration to ensure you are registered in everything in your block schedule, and then click Submit. Should registration errors persist, please contact ECORSupport@carleton.ca. - Once registered for both terms, review your Student Timetable for both the Fall and Winter terms to ensure that all courses appear in your weekly schedule.
Note: You should register in both the Fall and Winter terms when your time-ticket opens. For tuition payment deadlines for each term, refer to the Student Accounts Receivable Dates and Deadlines.

- Click Proceed to Worksheet and confirm on your worksheet that the course section(s) you chose do not conflict with any courses in your block.

Method 2:
- From the Carleton Central Registration submenu, select View Timetable.
- Select the term (start with Fall, and then check Winter).
