Off-Campus Student Orientation
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Description: Break the ice by meeting other off-campus students and learn about all the resources and support services available to you!
Location: Kailash Mital Theater (Southam Hall)Dinner
4:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.
Description: Students living off-campus will eat in the University Centre Food Court and students living in Residence will eat in the Residence Cafeteria.

CUSA Block Party
5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Description: Take part in a good-old-fashion block party. There will be plenty of snacks, games and FUN! Be sure to meet your Carleton University Student Association (CUSA) executives who will be hosting several pop-up interactive games.
Location: Parking Lot 12 and the Fieldhouse (Athletics)
Playfair
9:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Description: Playfair is totally unlike anything else you’ve ever experienced. It’s entertainment! It’s fun! It’s the perfect way to make new campus friendships! Playfair is a team-building experience that has a long-lasting effect on the members of your campus community. Playfair is more than just a “performance” — it’s an “experience” where everyone can participate!

Dance Party
10:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.
Description: Hit the dance floor to some of the top songs of summer along with your favourite throwback jams. This event is part of the Centralized Fall Orientation schedule. With EngFrosh participants also welcome to attend, its the perfect opportunity to meet fellow Ravens of all programs and faculties!

Opening Ceremonies
9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Description: This is your official welcome to Carleton University and the perfect kick-start to the week ahead! Here you will get a chance to meet your Orientation Coordinators once again, while hearing from a variety of special guest speakers. The event will wrap up with some fun and inclusive icebreakers to get to know your fellow Ravens and volunteers.

Student Success Presentations
10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Description: Join your team in various classrooms around campus where you will gain valuable tips from student leaders on how to best succeed in your first year of university!
Location: Carleton Campus (various classrooms)
Lunch
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Description: Grab a seat and enjoy some lunch while interacting with your fellow incoming Ravens and newfound friends. Fall Orientation volunteers will bring groups to either the University Centre Food Court or the Residence Cafeteria.
Location: University Centre & Carleton Residence Cafeteria
Canal Games
12:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Description: Which Fall Orientation team will reign supreme? Get ready for an action-packed day of friendly competition with larger-than-life interactive activities! Bringing back a past Fall O favourite, all Frosh teams will go head-to-head in a variety of outdoor games and activities along the beautiful Rideau Canal — make sure to bring your ’A’ game for this one!
Location: Hartwell Locks (outdoors)
Recommended items to bring: A water bottle*Please note we will be offering ParaTranspo service to and from the Hartwell Locks for any students who require assistance. The shuttle pick up location is right outside the Carleton University Bookstore (University Centre). Shuttles will run from 12:45 – 5:15 PM.
Dinner
5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Rick Cole – Hypnotist
8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Description: Join Rick Cole as he brings his hypnotist show to Carleton. You’ll be amazed at how much he knows, what he can have willing participants say or do, and what he can make suddenly appear. Fall under Rick’s spell as he hypnotizes your classmates and maybe even you too!

Academic Orientation Day
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Description: There’s a lot to do this week. Between finding out where your classes are, meeting your Fall Orientation group and learning all about university life, things can get a little crazy! Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Academic Orientation Day is designed to make sure that you know all the who’s, what’s and where’s of your Faculty and Department here at Carleton. At today’s event, you’ll receive a faculty specific t-shirt, meet fellow classmates and professors, and find out more about your degree and program requirements. This fun day full of insightful information will ensure you have everything you need to start your program off on the right foot.

Expo Carleton
1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Description: The Carleton University Student Association has over 200 clubs and societies that provide programming in all areas of interest for Carleton students! Checkout this trade-show style event and explore the many different clubs and societies that will be available to you this upcoming year.
Location: Fieldhouse (Athletics)
A Day at the Park
2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Description: In combination with Sprosh, enjoy a jam-packed afternoon of activities at Alumni Park. Participate in games such as axe throwing, card games, basketball, giant Jenga and many more! This event is an excellent way to meet new peers within both faculties while showing off you competitive spirit! If competition is not for you, we have picnic blankets all over for you to chill and make new connections.Location: Alumni Park (outdoors)

Description: A great way to learn about the various sporting venues on campus.

- Chill Room all night: located next to the Athletics Welcome Desk. Come and meet fellow Ravens, play cards, colour and relax.
- Soccer in half of the Fieldhouse – 6:30-9:00 PM: pick up a ball and play!

Night Of Magic Description: Do you believe in magic? Get ready to be amazed and entertained as world renowned magician Nick Wallace explores the worlds of magic and science. After blowing away viewers all over the world on season 14 of America’s Got Talent, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to witness what he’s got up his sleeve for the Carleton science community.

Description: Come on down and salsa while learning the language of love through dance. Salsa originated as a social dance and is both an incredibly fun workout, and a great way to socialize and meet new people! Join HOLAS, the Humanitarian Organization of Latin American Students at Carleton and practice your 1, 2, 3’s with us!

Amazing Science Race

Description: This event brought to you by the Carleton Science Student Society (CSSS) is a fun way to get to know campus locations and resources through a variety of challenges, riddles and mini-games, while racing the clock against other teams!

Pop-Up Movie on Campus
9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Description: Join us for a screening of “In the Heights” under the stars. Participants are encouraged to bring their own chair or blanket.

Tespa Game Night
9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Description: If you’re someone who puts the ‘E’ in E-sports, then get yourself logged in and ready to play in Tespa, Carleton’s Fall Orientation game night! This will be a casual environment for students to participate virtually in friendly bracket style competitions for some of your favourite games, including Super Smash Bros, 2k, Apex Legends, and so much more!

Lab Coat and Science Shirt Design Day
Don’t have a lab coat yet? Already have a lab coat? In a program that doesn’t require a lab coat?
1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Description: Come one, come all to the Frosh lab coat design event. Brought to you by the Science Student Success Centre, bring a basic lab coat and leave with one that will be of envy to all your lab mates. Fabric markers, spray paint, science stencils and tie dye kits will be provided so that you can add pictures and logos onto your lab coat and get creative!
If you don’t need a lab coat, no problem, create your very own Free SciFrosh shirt and grab some science stickers to decorate your laptop.

Explore Ottawa Night
7:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Description: Fall Orientation has partnered with several local establishments across Ottawa; this is your opportunity to discover the city while visiting some local Ottawa institutions.
Participants are encouraged to use their U-Pass to visit various locations across the city; at each location the Student Experience Office Staff in Red Polos will be able to give you your voucher. Don’t forget to wear your Orientation bracelet!*Locations:

Description: The Carleton Computer Science Society’s Puzzle Quest will have you and your team of three exploring campus and solving challenges. Try lock picking, complete an escape room, and find some landmarks around campus to get the highest score before the time is up! The top 3 teams will get a top-up of their campus cards.Location: Health Science Building (HS 1301)
Sexy Jeopardy hosted by CUSA

Description:Join CUSA for a night of Sexy Jeopardy and win spicy prizes and giveaways! Come learn more about sex, sexual health and safer sex practices. With fun and exciting categories from kinks to fetishes and more!

Description: Participate in Shinerama by spreading awareness & fundraising in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada! An annual fundraiser that is near and dear to the Ravens community. Students will be performing various challenges at stations and receiving donations for a great cause.

CityFolk Festival – Friday, September 9, 2022
Description: Fall Orientation is proud to partner with CityFolk Festival to provide our participants with day-pass admission for the lineup of concerts taking place on Friday, September 9. Students must present their Fall Orientation wristband and their Carleton Student ID to pick up their tickets on campus. Participants can pick up their CityFolk bracelet from the Student Experience Office (430 Tory) on September 8th from 8:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. and September 9th from 8:30 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.

Ravens vs York Football Game – Saturday, September 10, 2022
1:00 p.m.
Description: Fall Orientation is excited to partner with Ravens Athletics to offer participants a ticket to the Ravens vs York football game on September 10th at 1:00 P.M. Pick up your ticket from the Student Experience Office on September 8th from 8:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. and September 9th from 8:30 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.
