Purpose: Joint work on permafrost research in arid mountains, hydrology and climate change. This will involve joint fieldwork, joint research, exchange of researchers and students. Primarily this will concern DGES at Carleton. This partnership has the potential to grow with respect to hydrology and remote sensing at Carleton as well as to also include the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and the ITT Roorkee.

Institution: La Universidad de La Habana
Purpose: To establish future academic cooperation in the areas of joint research, faculty and student exchange. In addition, this MOU will support the establishment of a field course which will take place Spring 2020. This course is offered by the champion of the MOU and it will include 20 students who will travel to Cuba in spring 2020. Future field courses are being planned.
