On Friday, October 3rd several students, staff and faculty volunteered at the Midway during Beaus annual Oktoberfest event held in Vankleek Hill.
The Midway is an area of Oktoberfest where people can donate money to play games & win tickets. The tickets can then be exchanged for prizes.
Proceeds raised at the midway were split 50/50 and donated to Just Food and Hidden Harvest Ottawa.
The types of Midway games that volunteers ran included Three Wheel Drive, Bumper Crop, Ring Toss, Bottle Cap SlapShot, and Beer Case Cliffhanger.
This event was a great opportunity for Geography and Environmental Studies students, staff and faculty to socialize while helping raise funds for two great organizations. Thanks to all those who came out!
