Trudi Zundel
“I am a doctoral student in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at Carleton University under the supervision of Dr. Patricia Ballamingie and Dr. Charles Levkoe. Our research group explores how civil society and social movements engage in food systems governance at multiple scales, with the goal of contributing to participatory, just, and sustainable food systems in Canada. My research will focus on the emotional, relational, and structural dimensions of civil society collaboration.
I earned a Master of Arts in Geography at the University of Guelph, where my research focused on discourses of climate-smart agriculture among non-profits and development agencies in Northern Ghana. Before moving to Ottawa, I worked in communications for a civil society organization engaged in international food, climate, and biodiversity politics.”
