Time to read: 2 minutes

Today fourth year students were outside learning about field sampling methods. Having an opportunity to develop these hands-on skills is a central component to our field courses. In this course students are learning “the aim of sampling is to select a subset that is representative of a population that is too large to measure. In remote sensing, you will often be required to sample characteristics or phenomena that are variable across large areas.” (excerpt taken from instructor Dr. Koreen Millard’s syllabus)
