Jordan Moffatt
I am a master of arts student focusing on urban geography. My area of interest is how citizen engagement in policymaking shapes the built form of the city. Using Ottawa as a case study, my current research looks at how the development of residential zoning by-laws through the 20th century relates to the contemporary housing affordability crisis. The supervisor for my thesis is Dr. Pablo Mendez.
I received a BA in communications from the University of Ottawa and have worked professionally in the architecture and urbanism field for several years. I have also volunteered as an advocate for bicycle transportation and am a published author of short fiction.
