I am a part time masters of science student in the geography department. I graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2019 with a bachelors of environmental studies in honors geography and environmental management with the co-op designation, which led to my career at Environment Canada.
I have always had an interest in wetlands which led me to pursue my masters. My supervisor is Elyn Humphreys, and I am studying methane emissions in constructed wetlands. My research site is the Sandhill Fen which is a restoration project from oil sand mining that was originally constructed on 2012. I am excited to see if constructed wetlands can be considered a natural climate solution in the future.
