Support for Carleton Community Members Affected by Current Events in Iran

October 3, 2022

Together with the entire Carleton Community, the International Student Services Office (ISSO) is offering our support to students who may be affected by current events in Iran.

Whether you are living in Ottawa or abroad, significant events happening at home can be overwhelming and distressing. You may feel as though you need additional support in the coming days. Please know that the staff in the International Student Services Office (ISSO) and across Carleton University are here to support you and connect you with resources you may need at this time.

All students can access the following resources for additional support:

Telephone Access

Please copy and reference this post in the event that you experience difficulty accessing the internet and need to call a resource provided. Please be advised that Carleton University offices are open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET, Monday to Friday. If your telephone call is not answered, please leave a message with a call-back number that includes your country code. There is currently a 6-hour time difference between Ottawa and South Africa Standard Time. You will incur any international telephone fees for calls made and we encourage students to consult their telephone provider with any questions.

Our thoughts remain with our community members impacted by these events during this difficult time. Please don’t hesitate to contact the ISSO for any additional guidance, support or referral to other resources on campus.
