International Student Experience Questionnaire – Share Your Story!

We invite you to complete this short questionnaire to share your experience as an international student at Carleton University. Your insights will help us better understand the international student journey—from the excitement and challenges of arriving in Canada to the moments that made you feel at home.

The questionnaire includes a few basic questions about you and your background, followed by a series of open-ended questions about your transition to life at Carleton. We’d love to hear about what surprised you, what helped you settle in, how you built connections, and any advice you would offer to future international students or to the university.

As part of this project, we will also be hosting a video shoot day to feature international student stories. If you’re interested in being part of the video series, there will be a place in the questionnaire to let us know. It’s a great opportunity to share your journey and help future students feel welcomed, supported, and inspired as they prepare to join the Carleton community.

Your responses may be used (with your permission) to improve programming for new students and to foster a more welcoming and informed campus environment.
