Applications for Immigration Documents
Students who need a study permit, a work permit, or a Temporary Resident Visa usually apply online. The first step is to create an account at the IRCC website or to log in to an existing account.
Applications begin with an eligibility questionnaire to determine certain details about the applicant and what they are applying for. The online system will use the answers to create an application list with:
- Forms that must be completed
- Required supporting documents to be uploaded as digital files
Applicants receive application status updates and other messages from IRCC through their accounts, such as requests for additional documentation, and approval or refusal notifications.
