“Both the school and my residence had various clubs and events. They both had large and very active WhatsApp group chats where you’d hear about them.” – Winter 2023, Bachelor of Architectural Studies<

I lived at the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris, in the fourteenth arrondissement. I applied to the Canadian house and was accepted. Rent was quite low for living in Paris, and the Cité is its own campus filled with other exchange student and many great services like restaurants and study spaces. It was nice to live surrounded by many other Canadians. I would recommend it to anybody studying in Paris. It is also a very short walk to the RER B train for an easy commute. Another option for student housing would be Crous, but priority for their residences is reserved for French students first. ” – Winter 2023, Bachelor of Architectural Studies

“There is a BNP Paribas branch at the Cité. There, the tellers are used to dealing with foreign students and it was a very easy process. For my phone, I used an eSim and never had to physically visit any telecommunications places, but Orange and Bouygues would be the major ones in France.” – Winter 2023, Bachelor of Architectural Studies

“I would recommend that future students use their weekends and spring break to travel to nearby cities or countries. One of the main reasons I chose Paris was its proximity to other European countries and it being a major transport hub. It was very easy for me to visit the UK and Ireland, Portugal and Morocco, as well as other places within France like Normandy and Brittany. In Paris itself, all the major landmarks and museums are worth visiting if you have months to spend there, and are often free or discounted for students.” – Winter 2023, Bachelor of Architectural Studies
