Student Testimonials
-
“The orientation week was packed with useful information as well as social events to meet other international students. The ERASMUS student network was amazing. There were social events organized in Trento which were great for making connections with other international students. They also planned trips and events outside of Trento such as when we went to Munich for Oktoberfest.” – Fall 2024, Bachelor of Global and International Studies
“The academic advisors available and the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) club that took us on fun trips and ran events. The university also led campus tours at the beginning of the semester for exchange students.” – Fall 2023, Bachelor of Arts, Human Rights and Social Justice

“Your final grade is out of 30. Another interesting thing is that most of my classes were just graded on a final exam. They don’t really have coursework throughout the semester like we are used to at Carleton. Also, each course isn’t worth the same amount of credits. At Carleton all our classes are 0.5 credits. Whereas at Trento one class can be worth 6ects, another 3etcs, and another 8ects. It’s not a big deal as Carleton registrars office is aware of this and they helped me choose courses to get the right amount of ects to transfer into Carleton credits.” – Fall 2024, Bachelor of Global and International Studies

“I found an apartment with the company NEST. NEST is fine and I would recommend it if you are looking for a guaranteed living situation that has a pretty straightforward process. Another housing company my friends used was Residenza Pho.Room (Phosphoro). One thing to note about that location is that it is mostly Spanish exchange students (who don’t really speak English) and Italian students (who speak some English).” – Fall 2024, Bachelor of Global and International Studies

“I just used my Canadian bank account I did not create an Italia bank account. The phone plan was super easy and cheap. The staff in the Vodafone store in Trento speak a decent amount of English and I got a plan that I recharge
each month online.” – Fall 2024, Bachelor of Global and International Studies -
“Must see places are in the mountains!! Also the lakes nearby (lago di braies, lago di Garda, etc) are amazing.” – Fall 2024, Bachelor of Global and International Studies
“Take advantage of being in Europe and travel to other countries! It is so fun and worth the money.” – Fall 2023, Bachelor of Arts, Human Rights and Social Justice
