The Department of History’s TA Mentor Program has been featured in the latest Bulletin of the Canadian Historical Association. The TA Mentor program was developed as response to a university-wide need for improved TA training. The Mentor delivers workshops based on the specific needs of students and training priorities the department
identifies. The mission statement of the TA Mentor is “…to provide support and advice in an effort to encourage growth and excellence in TAs, the department and Carleton University through coaching, dialogue and counsel.”
