On Tuesday, February 3rd, the History Undergraduate Society (HUGS) and the History department will be marking the start of Black History Month with a screening of the documentary, “Simply the Best,” produced by the Workers History Museum. Cal Best was a union leader who cofounded the Public Service Alliance of Canada and who went on to become a senior government official and Canada’s first Black High Commissioner. The film’s producer, Arthur Carkner, will be on hand to introduce the film and to take questions.
