FYSM 1405C: The Long Civil Rights Movement, one of our small seminars geared towards first year university students still has some spots available. You can learn more about this unique course and student reactions on our course description page.
In a supportive atmosphere of no more than 25 students, Professor Pamela Walker guides new students through the history of American racial segregation and explains the various groups and movements that helped challenge it. What makes this course especially engaging for students is the use of the game Reacting to the Past that allows students to gain a better understanding of the issues at hand as they assume the role of various historical figures.
