Rod Phillips gave a paper at a Paris conference
Professor Rod Phillips gave a paper at The Global Consortium for French Historical Studies, held at the Université de Paris 8 – Campus Condorcet, from 15 to 19 July. It was a conference sponsored by several French universities, by French history societies in the US, the UK, and Australia, and by H-France.
Using archival records of wine production, Rod’s paper addressed the climatic, legal, and commercial challenges faced by French wine producers in the 18th century.
