IPIS Graduate Diploma Admissions
The Graduate Diploma in Infrastructure Protection and International Security (IPIS) offers the same interdisciplinary program as the M.IPIS program, but specifically designed for working professionals. The diploma can be completed quickly at just 3.0 credits, compared to the 5.0‑credit master’s program.
Admission Requirements: Graduate Diploma in IPIS
- Bachelor’s Degree; B+ (77%) average overall
- Type II – for individuals studying in another graduate program at Carleton University
- Type III – for individuals who are working professionals
- Applicants not meeting all of the requirements but who have significant training and work experience may be considered for admission
note: Additional requirements may be stipulated, depending on the background of the individual student.

| Letters of Reference | Two (2) are required and should be submitted by full-time faculty members. |
| Statement of Intent | One (1) is required and should be one (1) page in length outlining your interest in the program as well as related experience and education. |
| CV/Resumé | One (1) is required. |
| Language Proficiency (ESL Test Scores) | Required, if applicable. For Carleton’s ESL requirements and policies, please visit the ESL Requirements website. |
International Students
Unfortunately, there is no space in the diploma program for non-domestic students.
