Student Testimonials
- Campus Life
-
“On the campus there were mental health resources available as well as multiple clubs. There were many events and opportunities to immerge myself in campus life. This included exchange events, campus concerts and an array of campus activates to delve into. I joined the RS futsal (indoor football/soccer) society and played a full season amongst my team.” – Full Year 2023/2024, Bachelor of Commerce
- Academic Environment
-
“My overall course selection process at Erasmus was very user friendly. Prior to choosing courses you are able to find the course outlines, date of exams, textbooks required and overall descriptions of the requirements and prerequisites to said courses. The teaching style was immersive with many classes aiming to include and promote participation from students. ” – Full Year 2023/2024, Bachelor of Commerce
- Housing Experience
-
“I lived in the city center of Rotterdam. The apartment was in a convenient location making transportation very accessible and overall access to facilities good. A recommendation would be to search for the houses in person.” – Full Year 2023/2024, Bachelor of Commerce
- Setting Up Phone and Bank Account
-
“I required my Dutch residence permit and registration documents to set up my bank account and once that was done, the process was smooth and easy. It only took a visit before walking home with a new account and the card was delivered 3 days later. As for a phone, I simply used a prepaid sim as they only allow phone plans to people with a residence permit valid for more than a year.” – Full Year 2023/2024, Bachelor of Commerce
- Travel Tips
-
“Utilize the public transport system in Rotterdam as it is incredibly efficient and cost effective to get around but most importantly, purchase a bike. The purchase of a bike was one of the best investments made as the city is centered around that mode of transportation. Traffic was never experienced and most journeys were cut by 10-15 minutes on bike. As for must see places, I would recommend Witte de withstraat, the Lijnbaan and Beurs as destinations to tick off the bucket list. These were where majority of plans were held and where most activities, bars, shopping areas and lounges are seen.” – Full Year 2023/2024, Bachelor of Commerce
