Student Testimonials
- Campus Life
-
“I found social media pages for the clubs I chose to join, including volleyball and spin classes. I also became a member of Erasmus Music Association through friends.” – Full Year 2022/2023, Bachelor of Arts in Law
- Housing Experience
-
“I managed to get two apartments (5/6 month periods each) through a friend-of-a-friend. I was very happy with my decision as this allowed me to live on my own, in nice neighborhoods in the city center. The university is outside of the city center (15 minutes on a bike / 10 minutes on a tram), so if you could, find an apartment or room close to BLAAK or BEURS or OOSTPLEIN since it is in between the center and University.” – Full Year 2022/2023, Bachelor of Arts in Law
- Setting Up Phone and Bank Account
-
“After registering with the government, you have to receive a BSN number after about 1.5 months, and then you can register for a bank account online, or in person. For cellphone, I got a pre-paid sim card (10 GB for 30 Euros) and I renewed it monthly, or when the data ran out. A positive thing, the GB can be used all throughout the EU.” – Full Year 2022/2023, Bachelor of Arts in Law
- Travel Tips
-
“Travel as much as possible, since its so much cheaper. Ryanair/Transavia/EasyJet/Vueling etc all fly from Schipol airport/Rotterdam Airport/Eindhoven airport to all over the EU. Flights to Poland, Milan, Pisa, UK, Ireland, Denmark etc are all really cheap. Use flixbus to travel to closer countries like Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark. In the Netherlands, try to see as many of the cities/towns as possible. Amsterdam is good to visit for 4/5 days, Den Haaag (and the beach) for 2 days, Utrecht for 1 day, Zandaam for 0.5 days.” – Full Year 2022/2023, Bachelor of Arts in Law
