Dealing with Difficult Behaviours (In Person Workshop)
Tuesday, November 26th, 2024 at 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
- In-person event
- 506 Tory Building, Carleton University, 1125 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, ON, K1S 5B6
In our professional lives, we often deal with difficult behaviours, however it is our responsibility to handle these situations in the best way possible so that the parties involved can still benefit and succeed.
In order to do this, we need to approach these situations with a high level of composure, assertiveness and communication skills. When we can better understand WHY a person is behaving in a certain way, we will then better understand how to resolve the situation in an effective and positive manner.
Difficult behaviours are inevitable but the way that we approach them is always up to us. Learning how to mitigate these situations creates a healthier work environment and that is exactly what this workshop is about!
By the end of this in-person workshop, you will be able to:
- Identify your own natural behaviour style
- Identify “difficult behaviours”
- Explore the reasons why a person may be difficult
- Understand aggressive, assertive, and passive behaviours
- Understand the importance of communication when dealing with a difficult person
