In a dynamic academic environment, such as Carleton University, emotional intelligence is key to building strong relationships, promoting a positive workplace culture, and ultimately driving institutional success.

Emotional intelligence is our ability to identify and respond effectively to both our own and other peoples’ emotions. After this workshop, developed by Canada Life, participants will be better able to:

  • Understand your own emotional triggers
  • Explore the functions of emotions
  • Reflect on when behaviours are a symptom of emotions
  • Respond more effectively to the emotions of others

Registration

Registration is available through Carleton Central. Under the Employee Services tab, click on Learning and Professional Development, then select Workshop Registration and followed by All Workshops. More information will be sent to you via email closer to the session date.
