Please note: This workshop is for Carleton University managers only.
As managers at Carleton University, you invest significant time and energy in supporting the wellbeing of staff, students, and others in the workplace both in-person and online. This work is an important part of supporting healthy teams and building a positive work environment. Just as important is caring for your own wellbeing.
This workshop, which will take place on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 9:00am to noon in 2017 Dunton Tower, will allow you the opportunity for personal reflection on the intersection of your leadership goals and real-life Carleton situations, a self-assessment of the character strengths that increase wellbeing, opportunities to try out mindfulness/grounding techniques, and peer-to-peer exchanges.
The workshop will focus on:
- Exploring the link between wellbeing and increased productivity, performance, and fulfillment.
- Learning how you can leverage your strengths to increase positivity and resilience.
- Understanding how your mindset impacts your leadership influence and impact.
- Practicing self-care techniques that will help you increase your focus and presence.
- Reducing stress by focusing on your spheres of influence and control.
- Connecting and sharing perspectives with other Carleton managers.

Workshop Facilitator: Jacqueline Foley
Jacqueline Foley is a Certified Executive Coach and former C-suite leader on a mission to empower executives and leaders to take charge of their career success and fulfillment. She draws on a dedicated mindfulness practice, a successful career as a senior marketing advisor to leading Canadian organizations, and a decade in the executive search industry. This has given her a deep understanding of the critical skills, competencies and behaviours that define successful leaders. Jacqueline specializes in helping her clients connect with their authentic leadership style, increase their self-awareness and self-management, and strengthen their leadership presence and performance.
An experienced facilitator and presenter, Jacqueline has led 100+ leadership programs and events throughout her career, partnering with organizations such as McKinsey, Rotman School of Management, Institute of Corporate Directors, and HBR Analytics. More recently, she has created custom leadership programs for CPP Investments, Women in Capital Markets, CPA Ontario, and the Women of Ivey Network.
