We have agreements at three Austrian universities:
- University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna (open to Faculty of Science)
- Universität fur Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz in Graz (open to Department of Musicology)
- University of Vienna (open to All Faculties, except Engineering and Design)
Fun facts about Austria
Tucked away in the southeastern corner of the EU, Austria may not even be on your travel radar. But once you begin looking into it, you may be surprised by what you find:
- Red Bull was co-founded by an Austrian entrepreneur.
- For the architecture buffs among you, don’t miss the Baroque architecture of Salzburg’s “Old Town”, a recognized UNESCO World Heritage site since 1996.
- The snow globe was invented by Erwin Perzy, an Austrian producer of surgical instruments, in the late 1800’s.
- While he was born in Salzburg, Mozart spent a lot of his adult life in Vienna. So, take some time to check out Mozart Haus Museum.
- Then later, you can then check into the Vienna youth hostel where they show “The Sound of Music” every evening at 8:00.
- Located just outside Salzburg, the Eisriesenwelt, an ice and limestone cave, stretches more than 42 kilometres under the Alps.
- Hot springs, vineyards, and historical sites are just a few of the sights you’ll encounter in Styria, a region of one million plus in the southeast corner of the country. The area is also well-known for it’s mining and forestry, agriculture, and culinary tourism.
