Hey there Carleton language student!  Are you feeling a bit rusty after 4 months of pandemic living?  Looking for a place to practice your speaking, talk about culture (e.g. Korean dramas, Japanese anime), and/or feel connected to the language you’re learning?

Us too!

We are the Language Learning Resource Centre.

If you haven’t heard of us, we are a Centre located in the St. Patrick’s Building at Carleton, but now with COVID-19, the Centre is CLOSED so we are trying to recreate the magic online with regularly-scheduled conversation groups hosted in cuLearn.

And we want you to JOIN US!

We know it’s summer and the world is a little bit turned upside down right now, but it we would really love to see this initiative grow into something vibrant and valuable…and relevant to your university experience…and for that to happen we need people to participate!

At the moment, we are offering sessions in ASL, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Russian, as well as ESL!  (Got other languages to offer, email us!)

You’ll need an active Carleton login to self-register.  New students, if you don’t have a login yet, email us at culanguage@carleton.ca to see if we can work out an alternative.

Many thanks…and we look forward to meeting you online.

Self-register now!
