Messages from Previous Co-Presidents

Johnny Kennedy, 2022-2023

“During my time at Carleton, having the opportunity to lead such a fun, enthusiastic and outgoing group of students as CMSS president was the highlight of my Carleton Experience! I strongly believe from our skating nights on the Rideau Canal, to our autumn outdoor open mic night, to our beach volleyball nights and our semi -formal, the CMSS events make us the most unique and bonded Music program in Canada. Johnny’s advice: ‘Enjoy your time at Carleton by getting involved, and have fun by going to these events to spend some time with your fellow classmates outside of a class setting.’”

Kat Armstrong, 2019-2023

“My time as co-president of CMSS was nothing short of wonderful. The experience taught me so much about leadership but even more treasured was how much I learned about collaboration and community. It was so enriching to know & grow with each of the generations of students I got to meet who shared that beautiful Carleton Music spirit.”

Rebecca Cowal, 2019-2022

(CMSS Exec. 2018-2022, MCGSS Exec.)
“Being part of the CMSS executive over the course of my undergraduate degree was a wonderful experience. The student society fosters connection and a sense of belonging within the Carleton Music community. I can’t think of a better way to connect with those in your program and make lasting relationships than to get involved with CMSS!”
