Dear cuNorth members,
The Northern Research Committee (https://carleton.ca/northernresearch/cunorth/nrc/) is seeking a graduate student volunteer to join the committee as a student representative. In particular, we are looking for a graduate student who is engaged in northern research as part of their thesis research in any discipline, and who has received NSTP funding for at least two years. One of the main roles of the student representative is to contribute to the NSTP reporting and application review process, as well as to other aspects of the Northern Research Committee responsibilities around promoting northern research across campus. Zoe Panchen has been doing a great job over the past few years, and we aim to have some overlap in roles for a few months to ensure continuity.
Please contact me by October 26 if you are interested in contributing to this committee, and supporting northern research and student opportunities across campus. Please include a short statement of your current year and degree program, your northern research focus, your years of NSTP funding, and your interest in joining the committee.
