About Pension Fund Management

Pension Fund Management provides professional investment leadership and advice to the Pension Committee, Investment Committee, and Board of Governors in carrying out their fiduciary responsibilities. The team is responsible for the prudent management of the Carleton University Retirement Fund, which supports the obligations of the Carleton University Retirement Plan, and the Carleton University Endowment Fund. Carleton University Pension Committee

The Pension Committee was established for the purpose of administration of the Carleton University Retirement Plan. This includes the interpretation and application of provisions of the Plan together with eligibility, service, earnings and retirement dates for purposes of the Plan.

The Retirement Plan Text identifies the members of the Pension Committee (Section 15) and indicates the term length and voting rights. There are a total of eight members.

Carleton University Investment Committee

The Investment Committee was established for the purpose of overseeing the investment of Carleton University’s Endowment Fund, Non-Endowed Funds, and other University investment pools. This includes establishing and monitoring investment policies and objectives, reviewing investment performance, and ensuring the prudent management of University investment assets.
