The Centre for Initiatives in Education developed Academic Prep because the difficult pandemic years continue to impact students in the form of skill gaps, mental health struggles, and lack of confidence.
Many students whose first semester didn’t go as planned can still have a great year, starting with Academic Prep: Winter Reset. The course is designed to help students to reflect on their first semester, identify changes they can make, and adopt evidence-based learning skills and habits.
Academic Prep: Winter Reset runs January 5-7, 2024, 10am-3:00pm.
The course combines lectures with hands-on workshops where students discuss and practice the skills they’re learning.
