The Carleton University Privacy Office develops and delivers privacy-related training to faculty, staff and other university community members who handle personal information as part of they daily duties. See below the training offerings we offer to the campus community.
General Training
The following general training courses are great for new faculty, instructors and professional services staff or for anyone requiring a quick refresher training;
- The Student Privacy Awareness Training, available through the Student Support Certificate
- A FIPPA Primer, available by contacting the Privacy Office
Tailored Training
We understand that the General Training provided may not be specific enough for you department’s daily operations. We also offer training tailored to a specific office or operation. For example, we have provided sessions focusing on financial data or tailored specifically for Campus Safety and their community policing operations.
