Healthy Workplace Officer (Currently on Maternity Leave)
Meghan joined Carleton University and The Office of Quality Initiatives in 2023 as the Healthy Workplace Officer. Prior to joining Carleton, Meghan gained extensive experience in the healthcare sector, focusing on health behavior change, chronic disease management, and bariatrics. Meghan holds a Bachelor of Arts (Health Studies major, Sociology minor) from Queen’s University as well as a Graduate Certificate in Health Care Administration/Management from St. Lawrence College. Additionally, Meghan is a certified Wellness Coach, having completed her training at the Mayo Clinic’s School of Continuous Professional Development.
Meghan is passionate about enhancing the health and wellness of others through empathetic, creative, and realistic approaches. This passion has enabled her to effectively support individuals in achieving meaningful behavior change, as well as fostering a healthy workplace culture among the Carleton faculty and staff.
Outside of her professional life, Meghan enjoys reading, practicing yoga, exploring the outdoors with her dog, watching scary movies with her husband, listening to true crime podcasts, cooking and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Megan and her husband welcomed their first born, a beautiful daughter, in March 2025.
