Rebecca Drodge ( She/Her )

Leadership and Professional Development Officer

Rebecca Drodge joined the Office of Quality Initiatives in 2023, as the Leadership and Professional Development Officer. With a robust background in peer mentorship, student support, leadership development, and community engagement, Rebecca has been a pivotal force in numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing both student and staff experiences and leadership skills. She holds a Bachelor of Humanities degree with a major in Biology from Carleton University and is pursuing a Master of Education degree at the University of Ottawa. 

Rebecca’s passion for helping others is evident through her extensive support across various university offices since 2019, including the Student Experience Office, the Office of the University Secretariat, and the Office of the Deputy Provost (Academic Operations and Planning). She has played a crucial role in strategic planning initiatives, significantly contributing to the development of Carleton’s Strategic Integrated Plan (SIP) and the Strategic Plan for Community Engagement (SP4CE). 

Currently, Rebecca fosters leadership development in higher education through the Carleton Leader program and other professional development initiatives. Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys exploring the outdoors, cycling, as well as baking, reading, knitting, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
