This year, we are proud to award it to Melanie Dow, in appreciation of her leadership and unwavering passion for inspiring Service Excellence throughout the Carleton community.

Single Session Implementation Counselling Team

Implementing the Single Session Model has significantly reduced the amount of time a student waits to speak to a counsellor by prioritizing quick access to care when it is needed most. All first appointments are now with a counsellor; students are no longer required to go through an intake appointment and then wait 4-6 weeks for an appointment.

Team Recipient

Ariel Birkinshaw, Accessibility Institute, Mikaela Stevenson, Accessibility Institute, Jocelyn van Wynsberghe, Paul Menton Centre, Andrew Riddles, Web Services, Cathy Malcolm Edwards, Accessibility Institute

Accessibility Commons Website Team

In my almost two decades at Carleton, I have not witnessed the level of care and intention that the team had for the project. This was evidenced at each phase of the project and particularly with the continual commitment to ensure the voices and experiences of living/lived experience remained front and center in all the team did.

Service Excellence nominations are open all year round!
