Elio Velazquez is an accomplished professional and a lifelong learner in the fields of Analytics and AI. As the Director of Program Management for AI at IFS, he is responsible for the planning and execution of all R&D AI-related initiatives. Elio leads a high-performance team of ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Architects, and Product Specialists in charge of delivering IFS’s AI infrastructure and services. With vast experience incubating and scaling out analytics and AI solutions in various sectors, Elio has held roles as a software engineer, architect, and manager for Telecom, Biotech, and Education. Prior to joining IFS, he led the Business Intelligence and Analytics team at Mxi Technologies, with an emphasis on Aircraft Reliability Analysis and Reporting. Elio holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and is also an Adjunct Research Professor at the School of Computer Science, Carleton University. He enjoys sharing his expertise and experience by teaching and supervising graduate students in the field of Data Science. Elio’s passion for AI and Analytics is evident in his work and his commitment to advancing the field. |
