Congratulation to SPPA Professor Graeme Auld, recipient of the 2022 FPA Research Excellence Award (Full Professor category).
The Faculty of Public Affairs annually recognizes outstanding individuals within its faculty and staff with the presentation of the FPA Excellence Awards.
Professor Auld’s work has been recognized for his contributions in three areas of work: efforts to govern sustainability through markets (eco-labeling, global value chains, private certification), analytical approaches for structuring problems to find policy solutions (climate change, pandemics), and multi-disciplinary, collaborative scholarship on conservation policy and practice (ecosystem services as a guide for policy action on conservation). He has published extensively across the disciplines, and has active grant-funded projects focused on decentred governance in a digital age and political economy of private auditors in transnational sustainability governance.
