On February 2, the School of Public Policy and Administration’s Anti-Racism Committee held its inaugural Anti-Racism Symposium. The event was an intentional forum where students, faculty, and community experts gathered to unpack lived experiences of racism, name institutional racism, and discuss innovative approaches to dismantling systemic and institutional racism. To carry the conversation forward, our speakers emphasized that we all have a stake in anti-racism work, and the time to act is now.
Thank you to our incredible Panel Members (depicted above from left to right): Parisa Vafaie (Moderator), Prof. Manjeet Birk, Richard D. And most importantly thanks to everyone who attended; it was an incredibly successful event and an honor to participate in such an important discussion.
