Anna Kopec Receives Professor of the Year Award!

Congratulations to Dr. Anna Kopec, our Professor of the Year, for making policy come alive and guiding students to success!

“At the SPPA, we’re incredibly fortunate to have a faculty filled with passionate, dedicated, and inspiring professors. Each one brings their expertise, enthusiasm, and commitment to shaping the next generation of policy makers.

But every year, one professor stands out—not just for their knowledge and teaching ability, but for the way they make learning exciting, how they challenge students to think critically, and how they go above and beyond to support them.

This year’s recipient of the Professor of the Year award is known for making policy problems come to life, helping students see issues from new perspectives, and always having time to answer questions and offer guidance. One student put it best when saying: “I’ve learned so much from them—not just about policy, but about how to approach complex challenges with confidence.”

And if that wasn’t enough, they also dedicate their time to organizing one of the most exciting academic challenges of the year—our annual case competition.
