The Bissett Alumni Award, named in honor of James (Joe) Bissett, celebrates Carleton University alumni who exemplify excellence and dedication in public service. Joe Bissett, one of Carleton’s first Master of Public Administration graduates, had a distinguished 36-year career, including roles as Canadian Ambassador and as a leader in shaping immigration and refugee policy both in Canada and abroad.

Arun joins this esteemed tradition, having held pivotal roles across federal departments and making significant contributions to governance, transportation, and public administration. We are proud to celebrate his exceptional leadership and commitment to serving Canadians.
