Job Overview
As a Junior STEM Camp Instructor for Virtual Ventures, you will be responsible for delivering STEM content through summer camps.
Programs are hosted on the Carleton University campus.
All staff will receive thorough training in areas such as first aid, behavioral conditions, equity, classroom management, etc.
You will be supported by the full-time management team and work closely with the university student team as well as other high school students and volunteers.
Work Term: Training June 26 – 28, Summer Camp July 2 – August 23, 2024
Hourly wage: $16/hour

What does a summer look like at Virtual Ventures?
- Attend and be prepared for each day of camp
- Be responsible for small groups campers in a specified grade from kindergarten to grade 11
- Take initiative and problem solve when problems arise in camp
- Listen and participate in discussions with campers, staff members, and management team
Qualifications
- Youth aged 16-18
- Prior experience in Virtual Ventures programs, volunteering in summer camps is an asset
- Computer literacy required and basic programming is an asset
- Strong leadership abilities
- Outstanding communication and teamwork skills
