Visit the Academic Advising Centre

Carleton University will be performing system upgrades starting FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15, at noon until MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17 at 8:30 a.m.

During this time you will experience disruptions to Carleton Central, myAudit and Campus Card system services.

The Academic Advising Centre will be unable to access student records during this period and will be limited to general university information.

Located in 302 Tory Building, Academic Advising offers advising sessions on a drop-in basis from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday (excluding holidays).

While our office is busy throughout the day, wait times in the mornings are usually shorter. Depending on the volume of students on any given day, we may reach capacity before 4:00 pm. Learn more here

Please note that during our peak periods (January, September and around academic withdrawal deadlines), wait times can exceed one hour.

EMAIL ADVISING If your questions are related to course selection, requesting a registration override, department specific restrictions or registration errors they will be forwarded to the appropriate Departmental Advisor. If your questions are related to navigating Carleton Central, how to add/drop a course, building a timetable or registration in general, they will be forwarded to the Registrar’s Office for review.

The Student Registration Assistance team (SRA) is available throughout the summer to assist with the technical side of building a timetable, navigating Carleton Central and submitting registration requests for courses. It is recommended that you speak with your Departmental Advisor for assistance with your major specific course selection and have a good idea of the electives you are interested in prior to speaking with SRA.
