Visit the Academic Advising Centre

As Carleton University continues to follow our safe meetings and social distancing guidelines, the Academic Advising Centre has transitioned to providing services remotely during our regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday).

You can connect with the Academic Advising Centre by email at

We are currently experiencing a large influx of emails and phone requests therefore we are trying to advise students primarily via email. You should receive a reply to your inquiry within 2 business days.

Due to the unprecedented challenge posed by COVID-19, the Carleton University Senate approved the use of Satisfactory (SAT) and Unsatisfactory (UNS) grades for the winter 2020 term.  If you have questions about how SAT/UNS may affect you, please visit our SAT/UNS FAQs.  For the most up to date campus information, please visit Carleton’s COVID-19 information website.

If your questions are related to course selection, requesting a registration override, department specific restrictions or registration errors they will be forwarded to the appropriate Departmental Advisor. If your questions are related to navigating Carleton Central, how to add/drop a course, building a timetable or registration in general, they will be forwarded to the Registrar’s Office for review.
