The Canadian Institute for Mediterranean Studies and the College of the Humanities announce two awards for students participating in the HUMS 3800 travel abroad course in 2023.
The CIMS – Carleton Study Abroad Award for Academic Excellence are merit -based awards meant to serve as incentives to students undertaking research and preparing academic submissions in the area of Mediterranean Studies for the travel abroad course, and to raise awareness of the initiatives supported by CIMS and to encourage students in their studies.
The winning student will be recognized with a cash award in the amount of $1000.00 and a runner up will receive an Honorable Mention and an award of $500.00.
The award was made possible through the generosity of Former Ambassador Robert W. Peck and his spouse Maria Pantazi Peck, the Canadian Institute for Mediterranean Studies, and The College of the Humanities.
