September 30th, commonly known as Orange Shirt Day is an important day which recognizes the story of residential school survivor Phyllis Webstad, which sparked a national movement to recognize the experiences of survivors of residential and day schools. On Orange Shirt Day, held annually on September 30, people from all over the country are encouraged to take time to meaningfully reflect on truth and reconciliation in Canada.
