Carleton Science will host Dr. Eugene Fletcher, Assistant Professor of Biology, for an ACE EDI talk titled A Black Academic’s Journey Across Continents Toward Belonging in Science. He will reflect on his path from Ghana to Europe and Canada, exploring the hidden curriculum of scientific culture, its impact on perceptions of competence and imposter syndrome, and how building social capital can support access, legitimacy, and advancement in science.
