The University of Manitoba is accepting applications for a full time tenure-track position of an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education for nomination for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Indigenous Education position.

The successful candidate will be an emerging leader in her/his field as evidenced by an exceptional record of research funding, publications, conference presentations and student training and mentoring. She/he is expected to develop and maintain a rigorous and independently funded research program that is also highly collaborative, involving local, national and international partners. Applicants, including those with applied research contributions in the area of Indigenous education at all levels, are expressly welcomed. The candidate selected for this position will be required to work with the Faculty of Education to prepare the formal nomination to the CRC Secretariat according to CRC program guidelines.

Contingent upon the successful CRC nomination, the appointment will commence July 1, 2017, as a full-time probationary (tenure-track) position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Tier 2 CRC positions are for five-year terms, and renewable once. For the duration of the CRC, the successful candidate will be granted reduced teaching responsibilities.
