The Department of Linguistics in the Faculty of Arts at Memorial University in partnership with the Labrador Institute is undertaking an open search to recruit and nominate an accomplished scholar for a Canada Research Chair (Tier2) in Change, Adaptation, and Revitalization of Aboriginal Languages. The CRC will engage in community-partnered research activities, with a principal focus being the creation of corpora of primary data. Such collaborative work will be undertaken with a view to producing datasets or corpora that can inform language revitalization efforts and linguistic theory.
