Mount Saint Vincent University is seeking a candidate for the Nancy’s Chair in Women’s Studies. Nancy’s Chair was established at Mount Saint Vincent University to advance the equality and status of women through teaching, research, and community and professional service. The Chair is named in honour of Nancy Ruth, feminist and activist.
The ideal candidate will be a promising scholar, have made a significant research contribution, or have had success in community-based involvement in improving the lives of women. Candidates can be from any area of Women, Gender and Sexualities Studies, though expertise in indigenous communities or communities of African descent is an asset.
The position will begin July 1, 2017. Mount Saint Vincent University will accept applications until a candidate is chosen, but interested applicants are encouraged to apply by September 15, 2016.
