Three Community First: Impacts of Community Engagement (CFICE) research assistants (RAs), two from the Poverty Reduction Hub (Amanda Lefrancois and Aaron Kozak) and one from the Secretariat (Omar Elsharkawy), teamed up to present a student perspective of community-based post-secondary education at the Canadian Alliance for Community Service Learning conference in Calgary, AB. These RAs shared their experiences with classroom-based and extra-curricular learning and offered recommendations for how to improve the quantity and quality of community-based education in university.
