On Thursday, March 9, 2017 CFICE presented its first webinar in its new webinar series. Titled, Building a better webinar: A view through experience and research into best practices, the webinar presenters, Jeannie An and Jill Bedford, walked attendees through key tips and pointers for creating the best possible webinar to reach your target audience. Designed for a beginner audience, the webinar touched on the following agenda items:

Presenters:
Jeannie An is the Research Services Librarian, Ron Joyce Centre, DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University. She was also the Chair of the Staff Learning & Development Committee (SLDC) for the library where she gained her knowledge of webinars by viewing hundreds of webinars and also investigating what makes a great webinar through current research on webinar best practices.
Jill Bedford is a Library Assistant at the H. G. Thode Library of Science and Engineering, McMaster University. Jill also served on the Staff Learning & Development Committee for the library for 5 years and has been involved with the making of and presenting about webinars since 2014.
